Good morning, Melbourne.

Amazon's Project Kuiper will launch on April 9 between 12-3 p.m. from Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 41 using a ULA Atlas V rocket — it will deliver the first satellites for a constellation aimed at providing fast internet in underserved areas — and will test a system that competes with SpaceX's Starlink.

Central Florida Winds, a group of volunteer musicians, will celebrate 25 years with a free concert on April 6 at 3 p.m. at Suntree United Methodist Church in Melbourne.

The program features classical works and a saxophone concerto by local player Andy Kropp — a $10 donation is requested to help cover costs.

At Melbourne Orlando International Airport, crews are removing the old bird-of-paradise carpet to install new hard-surface terrazzo flooring—similar to the baggage claim area—and will give away pieces as souvenirs.

The $1.6 million project, mostly funded by an FAA grant, is part of a larger plan to upgrade the terminal.

Melbourne Central Catholic hired three-time state champion head coach EJ Murray as its new varsity girls basketball coach.

Murray recently led the Palm Bay Pirates to a Class 4A state championship — he takes over a team that finished 7-13 last season.
