  • Dorothy 'Ms. Dot' Linson will host her 26th Annual Thanksgiving Community Luncheon on November 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eddie Lee Taylor, Sr. Community Complex in Melbourne — the free drive-thru meal will offer residents a chance to celebrate together, with drivers asked to follow the designated traffic pattern.  Space Coast Daily

  • Florida-based Publix offers several Thanksgiving meal deals for in-store pickup at local stores with complete turkey dinners and sides starting at less than $10 per person. Customers must place orders by November 24 as the chain will be closed on Thanksgiving — the offerings also include a range of holiday desserts.  Florida Today

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A Falcon 9 carrying 29 Starlink satellites will launch today from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station as Florida’s 99th orbital rocket launch of 2025—SpaceX has a four-hour launch window from 6:29 p.m. to 10:29 p.m., and the 100th launch is scheduled for Nov. 20.  Florida Today
  • Today, Brevard County commissioners will discuss whether to renew the half-cent sales tax approved in 2016 that funds cleanup of the Indian River Lagoon and expires next Election Day. Supporters say the 10-year extension is needed—restoring the lagoon could take 20 to 40 years.  News 6
