Counties across Central Florida have opened cold-weather shelters as forecast wind chills drop to the 20s and 30s and morning lows hit the 30s and 40s—many sites offer free bus service and are accepting donations such as food, clothing, and bedding.
Shelters in Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties have been set up to help residents stay safe during the historic chill.
