- ➤ Space Systems Command awarded Blue Origin a $78.25 million contract to build a new payload processing facility at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to boost launch capacity on the Space Coast — the company will finish construction by 2028 to support more launch providers and increase mission readiness. The award comes as part of the Space Force’s efforts to strengthen partnerships with industry — helping improve both national security and commercial launch operations. Space Coast Daily

- ➤ SpaceX will launch its Falcon 9 rocket for the KF-03 mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station tomorrow at 9:34 p.m. ET—if needed, a backup launch will occur on October 10 and the reused first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship in the Atlantic Ocean. - ➤ Due to the government shutdown, visitors in Brevard County face restrictions as some federally funded sites like Canaveral National Seashore have closed their gates and staffed facilities.
