- ➤ Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is hosting its fifth annual Taste of Space: Fall Bites! event from October 3 to November 16, where guests can try seasonal dishes like Lentil Chili and Pork Schnitzel Sandwiches at on-site cafés—this event coincides with the 25th anniversary of the International Space Station's continued habitation. - ➤ Merritt Island High School’s Dazzler Dance Team will perform weekends at 8 p.m. at the Space Coast State Fair in Viera, which runs from October 30 to November 16. - ➤ The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will hold an Atlantic red snapper workshop in Cape Canaveral at the Radisson Resort at the Port on Thursday, October 9—designed to gather input from anglers and charter operators on season length and catch limits for sustainable fishing. - ➤ Palm Bay Councilmember Chandler Langevin refused to resign after he was censured for anti-immigrant posts—he blamed local leftists for the backlash and said he would not apologize while Gov. DeSantis has not yet acted on the council's request. FOX 35 Orlando
- ➤ A three-judge appeals court panel ruled Florida’s ban on open carry unconstitutional, making it legal to carry firearms openly while rules still bar them in schools and courthouses.
