- ➤ Peter Cranis said that summer tourism tax collections on the Space Coast are set to top $6.2 million—breaking past records with June's $2.25 million and predicted July and August revenues of $2.2 million and $1.8 million. - ➤ The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will hold a corrections hiring event on September 10 at its Jail Complex at 860 Camp Road, Cocoa—where candidates can tour the facility, ask questions, complete an application, and take a Physical Abilities Test if needed. Attendees may join a morning session from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or an afternoon session from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., or they can drop in without pre-registration. Space Coast Daily
