- ➤ Victoria Sinclair was arrested at her Cocoa home after a search by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office found drugs and four guns—one an AR-15—and she now faces charges for drug trafficking and gun possession by a convicted felon. Space Coast Daily
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Brevard Public Schools today launched the Astronautics and Flight Exploration Academy at Merritt Island High School with a ribbon cutting featuring officials like BPS Superintendent Dr. Rendell and School Board Chairman Gene Trent—community partners also attended the event. The program will give students hands-on experience with flight simulators, VR space simulators, drone technology and Mars rover robotics to prepare them for aviation and space careers. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center are tracking three systems in the Atlantic, with Hurricane Erin off Florida and predicted to pass between the U.S. east coast and Bermuda—dangerous rip currents and high waves will affect the coast. A tropical wave in the central Atlantic could develop into a tropical depression later this week while Invest 99L is monitored for potential changes. Florida Today
