- ➤ Melbourne police stopped a vehicle early on Aug 3 at Babcock Street and Eber Boulevard, seizing 189 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MDMA, 2.7 pounds of marijuana, and a firearm while arresting 45-year-old Eduardo Altuna who now faces charges for drug trafficking, MDMA possession, marijuana distribution, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon—part of ongoing efforts to curb local drug activity. - ➤ Authorities are investigating the disappearance of 17-year-old Giovonni Pelletier, who left with his cousins around 1:30 a.m. on August 1 while en route to visit family and exited the vehicle near State Road 70 in Manatee County—officials from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office are working together to locate him.
