- ➤ Three Melbourne residents—Michael Jatsko, Leonard Nile Junior and Alivia Assidio—were charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and fentanyl after investigators found guns, cocaine and fentanyl in a car and additional substances in a storage unit during a federal operation. WFTV 9
- ➤ Residents contacted by phone, email, or text urging them to purchase and deliver gold bars should ignore these instructions because the Federal Trade Commission confirms that legitimate government agents never ask for such actions (report any suspicious activity immediately). Space Coast Daily

- ➤ In 1915, Chicago native Ernest Kouwen-Hoven moved his family to Melbourne and bought land between the Indian River Lagoon and Atlantic Ocean to create a beachside resort called Indialantic-by-the-Sea. He built a wooden bridge across the Indian River in 1919 — once known as Kouwen-Hoven’s Folly — which helped shape a community that incorporated in 1952 and now has about 3,000 residents. - ➤ Eastern Florida State College named 55 student-athletes to the NJCAA Division I 2024-25 All-Academic Teams for achieving a GPA of 3.60 or higher, with five Titans making the first team (4.0 GPA). - ➤ Preliminary work is underway to clear vegetation and debris along Ellis Road from west of John Rodes Boulevard to west of Wickham Road to prepare for utility relocation ahead of the widening project.
