- ➤ Intense tropical downpours on Monday in north Mims forced residents out of their homes and flooded a 10-unit apartment complex along U.S. 1 and Irwin Avenue with up to 24 inches of water around 11 a.m. The American Red Cross responded and local residents raised concerns over poor drainage—worrying that future rains could cause more damage.
