- ➤ Teacher union presidents from across Central Florida began contract talks for the next school year and ask the community to support better pay and more funding for public schools — they say current budgets leave neighborhood schools underfunded — urging local school boards and state leaders to reassess spending decisions. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pike Construction working for FPL is doing utility work that will close several lanes on Palm Bay roads starting today until June 12. Arterial roads will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and other roads from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. — drivers should plan their routes carefully. Space Coast Daily
