  • At the Dancing for the Space Coast fundraiser on May 31 at Florida Tech’s Clemente Center in Melbourne, co-winning dance teams shared first place for the first time in the event’s history—Heidi Arnold with her student Gabriel Etienne supported the Brevard County Symphony Orchestra while Dimas Carabello with student Anita Carbone represented Sally’s House.   • Kristy McCoy registered almost three times the legal blood alcohol limit and was taken to jail when deputies found her driving erratically—she used her phone at the booking desk despite being allowed only to retrieve numbers—and she was charged with DUI and introducing contraband into the jail.  Space Coast Daily
  • Law enforcement agencies arrested multiple suspects on May 29 and May 30, 2025, including individuals from West Melbourne, Satellite Beach, Titusville, and Cocoa Beach, on open charges such as resisting an officer, domestic battery, theft, and trespassing — all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.  Space Coast Daily

  • Salmonella linked to cucumbers has caused 45 illnesses and 16 hospitalizations in 18 states, including cases in Florida. Target recalled cucumbers and foods made with them on May 30 — a move that follows warnings about produce grown by Florida-based Bedner Growers.  Florida Today
