  • SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 carrying Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral on Memorial Day morning at 7:48 a.m. and its booster successfully landed on a drone ship in the Atlantic — a new launch is scheduled for 7:52 a.m. Friday from Launch Complex 40.  Florida Today
  • The FAA cleared Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket to return to flight after an April failure, with experts expecting another launch in weeks. The company also announced a $600 million expansion at Cape Canaveral (promising 500 new aerospace jobs) that could boost local industry.  FOX 35 Orlando
  • Margarita Island Mexican Bar & Grill opened its new Space Coast location on Monday, May 25 at 455 E. Eau Gallie Blvd. The restaurant offers authentic Mexican dishes, a digital menu, and seating for casual meals and celebrations.  Space Coast Daily

  • A camp for teens will teach life skills like budgeting, career planning, and healthy communication at the UF/IFAS Extension Office in Cocoa. The five-day course will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 8-12 (costs $92.55).  Florida Today
  • Viera High School’s Class of 2026 celebrated graduation today at Viera Hawks Stadium as students, families, and teachers marked the milestone and looked forward to future opportunities.  Florida Today
  • High school graduates can begin their college journey at Eastern Florida State College this Fall with hands-on training and flexible programs for transfers, bachelor’s degrees, or direct workforce entry.   • East Florida State College softball won its first NJCAA Division I National Tournament game Monday night in Oxford, Alabama, defeating Trinity Valley Community College 2-1 at Choccolocco Park & sophomore Avery Velazquez retired 11 batters.
