- ➤ A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Launch Complex 40 on a Starlink delivery mission in the early hours of Tuesday, May 20, after launch attempts began at 11:40 p.m. Monday night. The launch marked the 43rd orbital mission of the year and is part of plans which project 107 launches from Florida before the end of the year. Florida Today

- ➤ Melbourne police are investigating two shootings at an apartment complex near Parkway Drive and North Wickham Road that left bullet holes in walls and vehicles—while one suspect was arrested Sunday on charges including carrying a concealed firearm, residents remain frightened by the violence. - ➤ Brevard students made a big impact at EnergyWhiz 2025, a statewide clean energy innovation event hosted by UCF’s FSEC Research Center. - ➤ A federal judge ordered Florida to bring back a manatee feeding program and to stop new septic tank permits near North Indian River Lagoon (with a permit due by July 17 and a feeding program starting by June 17).
