ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Friday a 16-year-old riding an electric scooter was hit by a car near County Road 511 and Vickers Drive in Brevard County—he is in stable condition while the crash remains under investigation and the 63-year-old driver was not injured.  FOX 35 Orlando

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Brevard Public Schools released the graduation schedule for 2025 seniors with ceremonies starting May 21 and running through May 27. Melbourne High School will hold its ceremony on May 23 at Tom McIntyre Stadium at 7:00 p.m.—families are advised to plan for large crowds.  Space Coast Daily

  • The Eastern Florida State College softball team hit the road on Saturday afternoon for a Citrus Conference doubleheader against No. 2 Florida Southwestern State College in Fort Myers. The Titans, holding a conference record of 21 to 13 and in fourth place, will return home on Monday evening to face No. 3 Indian River State College (the game could shift tight standings).  Space Coast Daily
  • The Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame selection committee announced that the 2025 induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 24 at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne—starting with a meet-and-greet at 6 p.m. and followed by a dinner and program at 7 p.m.  Space Coast Daily
  • Former Rockledge Raiders star Raheim Sanders signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent today — he played both offense and defense in 2019 and 2020 and earned honors at Arkansas and South Carolina — and he becomes the latest Brevard County player to join an NFL team.  Space Coast Daily
  • The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost 5-3 to Miami Dade College on Thursday evening in Miami—leaving the Titans at 17-14 in the Citrus Conference as they prepare to play a doubleheader against the Sharks today at Bruce Bochy Field.   Space Coast Daily
