  • Trenton Wright, a Florida Tech alum from Helena Montana, made it to the top 42 on American Idol after auditioning in Nashville—advancing to the Hollywood rounds before his elimination in the duet round.   • Florida's bat maternity season begins April 16 and runs through August 14; homeowners must complete bat exclusions by April 15 without a permit. Residents are urged to follow safe removal procedures — using humane exclusion devices — to prevent trapping young bats.  Hometown News
