  • A helicopter crashed at a baseball field near the McKnight Sports Center in Rockledge on Sunday morning and injured two people who were airlifted to Health First’s Holmes Regional Hospital— the FAA has launched an investigation as details remain under review.  Space Coast Daily
  • Two people were airlifted from a Rockledge baseball field after a private helicopter crashed on Sunday morning—police said the aircraft experienced engine issues and the injured were taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.  News 6

  • The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse announced its newly named Dr. Anastacia Hawkins-Smith Broadway on Brevard season for 2025 to 2026 and will stage shows including School of Rock from September 12 to 28, Arsenic and Old Lace from October 31 to November 2, Annie from November 21 to December 14, Gypsy from February 6 to 22, Godspell from March 20 to 29, Rock of Ages from May 1 to 17 and Green Day’s American Idiot from July 17 to 26 — more details such as audition dates and the Spotlight Series will be shared soon.  Space Coast Daily

  • Bruce Bochy, a Melbourne High graduate and four-time World Series champion—whose baseball field at Brevard Community College was dedicated in his honor in 2011—is celebrated for his long career as one of MLB’s elite managers and is honored in the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame.  Space Coast Daily
