  • Residents report a rat infestation from a condemned hoarder house on Atlantic Avenue in Indialantic as a judge ordered the owner, who owes over $30,000 in fines, to clean up the property within one month or face $100 per day fines (one neighbor said he killed 24 rats this month).  News 6
  • Voters are casting ballots in the final round of a contest to crown Brevard County’s best wings, with Cajun Soul Bistro (333 King St., Cocoa) pitted against Wing It (660 E. Eau Gallie Blvd., Indian Harbour Beach). Cast your vote before noon on March 23 and the winner will be announced on March 24.  Florida Today

  • A downtown Melbourne bar formerly known as Hurricane Creek Saloon and briefly renamed Neon Rodeo will appear on Bar Rescue Season 10, Episode 7, 'Flush the Slush,' on March 29 at 10 p.m. on Paramount+; the venue now operates as The Creek at 829 E. New Haven Ave.  Florida Today
  • SpaceX will launch 29 Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Sunday between 10:43 a.m. and 2:43 p.m. The rocket will add to a constellation that already includes over 10,000 satellites in orbit.  Florida Today
  • Ascend Brevard and Veterans Florida have launched a cohort-style entrepreneurship program for veterans and military spouses on the Space Coast. Applications are open, and the program will provide business training + mentorship starting in April.  Space Coast Daily

  • Suntree Elementary in Melbourne solved pickup traffic issues yesterday by placing cones and adding an extra car line — parents praise the new safety measures.  FOX 35 Orlando

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A Tallahassee company organized a donation drive to help unpaid TSA agents amid reports of long wait times at Florida airports — including a 5-21 minute wait at Melbourne Orlando International Airport on Friday morning. Airlines say delays may worsen if the funding impasse continues.  Florida Today
  • On Saturday, residents toured the new Brevard County Fire Rescue Station 86 (625 Barefoot Bay Blvd) during an open house that featured a ceremonial hose uncoupling and a push-in for a new fire truck. More than 100 people celebrated the station’s operational readiness with complimentary ice cream.  Hometown News
