Artist Christopher Maslow is opening his counterculture contemporary gallery Outerspace today at 990 Palmetto Ave in downtown Melbourne—over 150 artists will exhibit their works in a flexible space designed for private events and receptions.
Maslow, known for his 2016 downtown panther mural commissioned by Florida Tech, said the new venue offers a unique setting for diverse art shows.

Florida’s GOP-led Legislature is backing dozens of bills that would limit local governments’ power over taxes, regulation and public policies.
One bill would ban local diversity programs—potentially subjecting commissioners who vote for such measures to removal—and more than 50 proposals affecting 411 municipalities and 67 counties are under consideration.
