  • Record cold in early February killed many starfish on Satellite Beach (a part of the Space Coast). Biologists say it is safe to toss them back if found.  Florida Today
  • Port Canaveral is sponsoring Battle of the Causeways, a community cleanup event set for Saturday, Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will gather at Kelly Park East in Merritt Island to clean up causeways and compete for a prize.  Space Coast Daily

  • Melbourne Orlando International Airport received a $2.5 million grant (to expand its MRO apron) that will create 500 new jobs with salaries around $75,000 to $85,000. Governor Ron DeSantis awarded the funds as part of an $8 million investment supporting local workforce growth.  Space Coast Daily
  • NASA and SpaceX will launch Crew-12 today at 5:15 a.m. with four astronauts set to reach the International Space Station around 3:15 p.m. Saturday, where they will work on research, technology demos, and maintenance for eight months.  News 6
