  • The Senior Resource Alliance offers up to $2,000 in utility bill relief to seniors in Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties following a deep freeze — a measure aimed at offsetting higher heating bills.  WFTV 9
  • The Brevard Humane Society said its project to add a new fence for shelter dogs at New Haven Avenue in Melbourne stalled in June after a contractor took a deposit and cited bankruptcy. The society is now seeking a civil remedy while the contractor claims to fix the issue soon.  FOX 35 Orlando

  • BWXT has opened an 11,600 sqft Digital Center in Melbourne that will drive digital transformation, smart operations, AI, and cybersecurity—enhancing efficiency for its nuclear and defense services.   • The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission approved new spotted seatrout regulations for Brevard County that set strict seasonal catch limits and bag restrictions, with recreational anglers limited to two fish from January 1 to October 31 and commercial seasons limited to May 1 through September 30, effective April 1.  Space Coast Daily

  • Dr. Kevin Campbell (a Health First cardiologist and Chair of Medicine at Viera Hospital) spoke to members of the GFWC Space Coast Women’s Club today at the Viera East Residence Clubhouse during Heart Month to advise on recognizing and preventing heart disease in women.  Space Coast Daily
  • Costco recalled mini beignets sold in Florida from Jan. 16 to Jan. 30 because packages filled with caramel were mistakenly paired with chocolate hazelnut ones and contain undeclared tree nuts, so customers with allergies should return them for a refund.  Florida Today
  • Since Feb. 4, Publix Pharmacy in Melbourne launched a discount card program for Wegovy and Ozempic, offering eligible customers prices as low as $149 per month for tablets & $199 for injectables. Terms may limit the use of insurance and other discounts.  Florida Today
