- ➤ Florida's minimum wage will rise to $15 an hour on Sept. 30 because of a constitutional amendment; legislators are reviewing HB 221 that may let interns and pre-apprentices waive the wage to gain work experience. - ➤ Brevard Public Schools will cut 7% of staffing due to declining enrollment, and Superintendent Rendell said the changes will affect operations across the district going forward. Florida Today
